Combination products
Ahlstrom combination products are glassfiber reinforcements used in various applications. You could be making boats or wind turbine blades, sports equipment or vehicle bodies, electrical insulation or anticorrosive wrapping for tanks and pipes. Our combination products can be modified to meet the customer specific requirements. They increase customer process efficiency while only one reinforcement layer needs to be laid instead of two or three. Combination products combine both woven fabrics and chopped strand mat layer into one. They are typically used as structural layers of the laminates or as primary structure of large hand lay-up vessels.
Ahlstrom combination products are binder free and suitable for numerous production processes: hand lay-up, filament winding, pultrusion, continuous lamination as well as closed molds.

Technology
Ahlstrom combination products are made by stitching together the woven fabric layer and chopped strand mat. Other materials can be combined when needed.
