Face stock label papers for barcode and VIP labeling
Variable Information Printing (VIP) labels are printed just before being applied and are used in industry, distribution and retail for pricing, tracking, weighting and identification.
Most VIP labels are printed with thermal transfer technology, while highly popular self-adhesive office labels are printed with laser and ink-jet desk-top equipment. Our extensive expertise in this sector ensures label papers with long lasting readability thanks to their high definition printing performance and resistance to scratch and smudge.
The smooth printing surface is available in either coated or uncoated form depending on the application requirement.
Products and applications
All our face-stock label papers - manufactured both in Europe and in South America - are specifically designed for self-adhesive applications and combine attractive appearance with outstanding performance through converting and thermal transfer or other VIP printing.
The range of products designed for thermal transfer applications includes one-side coated LUMIMAX™ TT and Thermal Transfer ULTRA™ label papers as well as uncoated VELLUM TT label papers.
Uncoated PRINTMAX™ and VELLUM papers are an ideal substrate for printing of home and office, address and other labels for manual application, as well as other retail and pricing labels.

Chain of Custody
It is Ahlstrom policy to buy cellulose pulp only from companies that are either certified or in the process of being certified by an independent, accredited certification body, as a guarantee of Sustainable Forestry Management (SFM). Our label papers can be supplied with either FSC™ or PEFC™ certifications.
