Ahlstrom has been one of the main glassfibre reinforcement suppliers to the European GRP industry since the 1970's.

The basic material for Ahlstrom's glass nonwoven product range is E-glass. By combining it with different materials, Ahlstrom has developed a unique range of hybrids, multilayers and multiaxials to suit the majority of applications.

Chopping roving We offer a range of assembled roving with high strand integrity and a silane-coupling agent. Our chopping roving is compatible with unsaturated polyester resins. Combination products Ahlstrom combination products combine both woven fabrics and chopped strand mat layer into one. They are typically used as structural layers of the laminates or as primary structure of large hand lay-up vessels. Direct roving Our direct roving is specially designed for continuous processes. The unique performance of the roving makes it suitable for laminates and profiles as well as for weaving and knitting. Infusion and RTM products Our Infusion and Resin Transfer Method (RTM) products provide a special reinforcement for your infusion and closed mold processes. Their high wetting capacity can increase your productivity and lower the costs of production. Multiaxial products Ahlstrom multiaxials are specialty reinforcements suited for a wide range of production processes: infusion and other closed mold techniques, hand lay-up, filament winding and pultrusion. Spray-up roving Our spray-up rovings are versatile, allowing efficient production of laminates in a wide range of shapes, thicknesses and sizes. They are compatible with unsaturated polyester resins and suitable for both manual and automated spray-up processes. Woven products Our woven products can be modified to meet the customer specific requirements. They are commonly used with chopped strand mats as structural layers of the laminates or as primary structure of large hand lay-up vessels.
