Supporting children's rights in India
Madhya Pradesh is one of the poorest areas in India and has the highest infant mortality rate. We are proud to have donated 120.000 euros to the Eva Ahlström Foundation to support the project, which provides clean water, sanitation and better hygiene in schools in the area.

Paper by-product turned into energy-saving insulation
In 2009 David Contu, a former Ahlstrom employee, set up Nesocell, a new business based in Italy, to develop a new and sustainable insulation material from the sludge waste generated during paper production in Ahlstrom plant in Turin. This new material can help reduce energy use in a building by up to 70%.
