Social responsibility

Ahlstrom values its human capital and have a long time ago committed to the human rights as described in its Code of Business Conduct:

 "Ahlstrom is committed to maintaining a safe, healthy workplace for all employees. No employee shall be subject to any form of abuse or harassment, whether physical or psychological. Ahlstrom shall not discriminate in employment on the basis of age, gender, race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, or political affiliation. Ahlstrom also encourages all of its employees to maintain a healthy balance between their work activities and their personal lives."

Corporate citizenship

Ahlstrom is a responsible employer and a friendly neighbor in the communities in which it resides. Ahlstrom plants are maintaining good relationships with the local community and hosting visits for local schools and universities at their request. At the corporate level, Ahlstrom desires to address its charitable contributions towards promoting education, clean water and air as well as culture. The annual amount for these purposes is decided by the Annual General Meeting.
