Release base papers for tapes & adhesive materials

The electronic, transportation and construction industries, to name but a few, are using an increasing number of self-adhesive tapes, materials and components which need a release paper to protect their adhesive prior to application.

Our Silca^TM Industrial range of high performance supercalendered release base papers are designed to be coated with silicone on both sides. They are available in five shades and in grades up to 130 g/m². The range, produced at a dedicated plant in France, is one of Ahlstrom’s main strategic focuses.

Silca^TM Industrial grades set benchmark performance standards with all silicone systems: solvent free, solvent, emulsion and UV. Siliconizers worldwide trust them to meet the most rigorous industrial demands. The papers have highly controlled surface on both sides, high mechanical strength and high internal bond to withstand high-tack adhesives.
