Upgrading our capabilities is a key component for answering to our customers’ needs and improving our level of service.
Ahlstrom-Munksjö’s site in Pont Audemer, France, plays a vital role in the production and converting of our high performance sterilization wraps.
In our continuous effort to increase the level of service to our customers, we committed to taking the converting and packaging process at the French plant to the next level. How to improve service, provide higher flexibility, optimize efficiency, deliver faster response, yet maintaining the same superior quality: these were just a few of the parameters taken into account at the brainstorming table.
The answer was one: a new fully automated converting and packaging line. A new machine that could enhance the efficiency of the converting, from beginning to completion of the process, from rolls to finished good, packaged and ready to be shipped to our customers.

ENHANCED PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
The availability of products will be improved and the standard product range will be offered in a shorter timeframe.
HIGHER QUALITY OF PRODUCTS
This investment will directly translate into quality and upgraded level of service for to customers. The compliance to the ISO 13485 standard for medical devices demonstrates our commitment for quality management and ensures best practice in everything we do during the manufacturing, converting and packaging processes.
SIMPLIFIED HANDLING
The closure of the boxes is now automatic thanks to the new converting and packaging line. Adhesive tape have been replaced by tear tape for more convenient handling and less lint.
