We aim for sales from new products launched during the last three years to reach 25% by 2025. We have also set as a target that all new products in development are assessed with the EcoDesign Tool and that all have a positive EcoDesign score by 2025, meaning their environmental impact is lower than a reference product’s. From fiber, we create solutions such as sustainable compostable food and beverage processing and packaging materials, liquid and air filtration solutions for engines and energy storage applications, diagnostic materials, protective surgical fabrics, water filters, and much more.
As electrification is rapidly changing the landscape of the industry, Ahlstrom is closely involved with market developments. We are developing new fiber-based solutions for Energy storage applications and for Electric vehicles
Electricity is the fastest growing source of energy. Demand for energy storage will double in the future. It will be driven by vehicle electrification, a shift towards renewable energy and increasing demand in stationary applications.
