For 175 years, Ahlstrom has been shaped by adaptability, innovation, and strong values. Founded in 1851, in Noormarkku, Finland, Ahlstrom began in timber trading, shipping, and sawmill operations. As the world evolved, so did we. Expanding into paper and glass, advancing into clean energy, and ultimately focusing on sustainable fiber‑based materials all over the world. Our journey has been shaped by meaningful pivots, and this remains our purpose going forward.
