Ahlstrom applies a three legged approach in the management of sustainability in its value chain: sustainable supply chain of raw materials, ecologically efficient manufacturing and a holistic lifecycle thinking of its products. Economic, social and environmental responsibilities are taken into account in all three areas.
The UN Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
