Ahlstrom achieves EcoVadis Platinum Medal

AHLSTROM OYJ, PRESS RELEASE, NOVEMBER 3, 2026 at 9:00 EET

Ahlstrom, a global leader in fiber-based specialty materials, has achieved the EcoVadis Platinum Medal in the 2026 sustainability assessment with a score of 89 out of 100. The rating places Ahlstrom among the top one percent of companies evaluated by EcoVadis globally over the past 12 months.

The result represents a three-point improvement from Ahlstrom’s 2025 score of 86/100. The Platinum rating is valid until October 2027.

The Platinum Medal is EcoVadis’ highest recognition level. The assessment evaluates sustainability management across four categories: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The result reflects Ahlstrom’s continued commitment to responsible business practices and the collective efforts of its teams to advance sustainability across its operations and value chain.

“Achieving EcoVadis Platinum once again is an important recognition of the work being done across Ahlstrom. Sustainability is embedded in how we operate, develop our materials and work with customers and suppliers. This result encourages us to keep raising the bar and turning our commitments into measurable progress,” says Johan Lunabba, Vice President, Sustainability and Public Affairs at Ahlstrom.

EcoVadis is a globally recognized sustainability ratings platform assessing companies’ environmental, social, ethical and procurement practices. Its ratings provide an evidence-based framework for continuous improvement.
