Ahlstrom ReliaFlow 6614 Conjugate Pad for Veterinary Applications
About the webinar
Rapid diagnostic testing plays a vital role in veterinary medicine, offering fast and reliable results that support early detection and disease management. Among these tools, lateral flow assays (LFAs) are widely used for their simplicity, speed, and versatility. In feline health, accurate detection of Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) remains essential for effective clinical and preventive care.
This webinar presents the validation of Urano’s double cassette lateral flow assay, developed for the simultaneous detection of FeLV antigen and antibodies against FIV. The study focused on selecting and evaluating the most effective conjugate pad material, with special attention to the performance of the Ahlstrom Polyester Fiber 6614.
Results showed that the Ahlstrom 6614 conjugate pad provided efficient and reproducible release for both the Latex Beads conjugate (FIV system) and the CG conjugate (FeLV system). It demonstrated stability across both indirect and sandwich immunoassay formats, minimized non-specific binding in negative samples, and maintained strong signal intensity in positive serum pools.
Participants will gain valuable insights into how material optimization enhances the sensitivity, reliability, and overall performance of lateral flow assays, contributing to more accurate veterinary diagnostic solutions.
