Ahlstrom’s Lab & Life Science Business Unit wins prestigious Sustainability Award
In a groundbreaking achievement for environmental progress in the field of laboratory and life science products, Ahlstrom’s Lab & Life Science Business Unit has been honored with the prestigious “Responsible Supplier Program Performance Award” for Europe from Avantor, a leading life science tools company and one of Ahlstrom’s key partners. This esteemed recognition highlights the unwavering commitment of Ahlstrom and the Lab & Life Science Business Unit to sustainability, innovation, and environmental stewardship in an industry that is coming to realize its environmental footprint.
Avantor launched its Responsible Supplier Program in June 2023. One of the key tenets of the program is to measure suppliers’ sustainability performance, based on adherence to Avantor’s sustainability priority topics. Among more than 300 suppliers that took part in the program, Ahlstrom had the best sustainability performance among suppliers in Europe. The Ahlstrom team received the award at Avantor’s 2024 European Sales Conference in Lisbon, Portugal in February 2024.
