Jacareí Unit reaches 5 years working without a lost time accident

Safety is priority at Ahlstrom-Munksjö, globally, and this is a good practice that reflects on company’s performance indicators.

Every year, employees from all areas of Ahlstrom-Munksjö - Jacareí Unit, dedicate around 17 training hours focused on safety. The company also has the PASSE – Programa Ahlstrom-Munksjö de Saúde e Segurança (*), which motivates and guides the employees avoiding risk conditions and behaviors.

This program was developed and lodged in Brazil in 2008. Since then, the incidents numbers significantly decreased and the lost time accidents were brought to zero. Careful to this, the organization adopted the program´s concepts in other Units around the world. “This is an example of how good practices are shared inside the company e how innovation begins on continuous improvement of our daily operations processes”, says Wagno Carvalho, manager of Assurance Quality and HSE of Ahlstrom-MunksjöBrazil.
