Ahlstrom reaffirms the position among top one percent in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment
AHLSTROM OYJ, PRESS RELEASE, OCTOBER 28, 2025 at 10:00 EET
Ahlstrom, a global leader in fiber-based specialty materials, has achieved a Platinum Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment. With an improved score of 86 out of 100 compared to 2024, Ahlstrom ranks among the top one percent of companies evaluated over the past 12 months.
The platinum score is the highest recognition level in the assessment. The score reflects the quality of Ahlstrom’s sustainability management system, which is assessed across four categories: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This achievement underlines Ahlstrom’s continued commitment to advancing sustainable practices across its operations and value chain.
“Our EcoVadis Platinum rating confirms that doing business responsibly is not a cost, but a growth strategy. It shows how integrating sustainability into our products and operations drives innovation, strengthens customer trust, and creates long-term business value,” says Wouter Hut, Executive Vice President, Procurement and Sustainability at Ahlstrom.
EcoVadis is a globally recognized rating system that brings visibility to companies’ sustainability performance. EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidenced-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
