AHLSTROM OYJ, PRESS RELEASE, MARCH 26, 2026 at 15:00 EET

Ahlstrom, a global leader in fiber-based specialty materials, has released its Sustainability Report 2025 today. The report covers Ahlstrom's performance and recognitions in key areas of sustainability and provides insights into Ahlstrom’s strategy and transformation.

“In 2025, we strengthened our position as the leading sustainable specialty materials company by advancing our strategic agenda. We expanded our portfolio through strategic acquisitions in North America, targeting Lab and Life Sciences and Food and Smart packaging, and divested non‑core operations. We delivered resilient net sales and improved profitability, showing strong comparable EBITDA margins. Customer‑focused innovations continued to accelerate, with our Safe and Sustainable by Design solutions now comprising two-thirds of our portfolio.”

“Our commitment to safety provided us with a new record in safety performance with a 20% reduction in our total recordable incident rate. Our structured decarbonization plan delivered reductions across all scopes, consolidating our Platinum EcoVadis Medal and maintaining our CDP Leadership A- score for Climate, reaffirming our progress in environmental stewardship”, says Helen Mets, President and CEO.

The audit firm KPMG has provided limited assurance over all relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) deemed material.
