CytoSep® plasma separation media for whole blood diagnostics
CytoSep® is a single-layer plasma separation media made from high-purity natural and synthetic fibers, designed for efficient plasma separation in whole blood diagnostics. It is widely used in lateral flow applications, where it retains blood cells while allowing serum to flow rapidly.
Three established grades—CytoSep® 1660, 1662, and 1663—offer varying thicknesses to support different blood volume requirements, from low to high.
Additional grades—CytoSep® 1667 HV and 1668 HV Plus—are engineered to handle higher blood volumes within the same media area while minimizing hemolysis. These thinner materials enable greater plasma recovery and require less chasing buffer, making them well-suited for applications where improved sensitivity is essential.
