How does Disruptor® work?
Disruptor® is a breakthrough technology, not a mechanical filter media, based on the natural mineral pseudoboehmite, AIO(OH). Not directly comparable to any other water purification media currently in the market, Disruptor® is an electroadsorptive technology: due to its crystal structure, the mineral creates a natural, strong positive charge which attracts the negative charge present on most submicron contaminants.

Disruptor® has the ability to reduce a wide range of submicron particulates, pathogens, trace pharmaceuticals and cellular debris, making water safe to consume. Additionally, electro adsorption delivers filtration with low-pressure drop and many times the flow rate as compared to conventional mechanical filters.
