Capacitação é fundamental para o sucesso do Projeto Metering

Em fevereiro de 2019, colaboradores do P&D e da Produção da Unidade Jacareí passaram por uma semana de treinamento no nosso Centro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento de Pont-Evêque, na França. O objetivo era capacitá-los para a implantação do Projeto Metering.
Pont-Evêque possui tecnologia de ponta para análise de materiais e apoio no desenvolvimento de novas soluções, além de contar com um coater piloto, no qual é possível realizar testes explorando diversas tecnologias de aplicação de revestimento.
Durante a semana de treinamento, a equipe brasileira foi orientada por Eric Rousset, gerente das atividades relacionadas ao Pilot Coater. Ele abordou os fundamentos do processo da metering size press, que se diferencia do processo atual praticado pela Ahlstrom-Munksjö Jacareí, bem como os benefícios e possibilidades que poderão ser explorados a partir da instalação da Metering na unidade brasileira.
Do ponto de vista de desenvolvimento, foi dado foco em revestimentos, explorando as características ideais das formulações, para buscar excelência na performance de aplicação e parâmetros de qualidades específicos para cada produto. A equipe também participou de visitas aos laboratórios e realizou testes no coater piloto.
“Foi muito enriquecedor. A interação que tivemos possibilitou aumentar a sinergia entre a planta de Jacareí e os Centros de Pesquisa da França”, comenta Ketlyn Silva, Especialista de P&D que participou desse treinamento. Além dela, também estiveram em Pont-Evêque Georgia Tavares, responsável pelo desenvolvimento de novos produtos (juntamente com a Ketlyn), e José Ferreira e Conrado Guimarães, representando a área operacional.
Após retornar ao Brasil, a equipe ficou responsável por disseminar o conhecimento recebido a todos os colaboradores da área operacional de Jacareí. Foram cinco turmas e cinco dias de treinamentos, com seis horas de duração cada, para conseguir reunir todos os operadores da máquina de papel e do coater.
A capacitação das pessoas que estarão envolvidas no processo operacional e de desenvolvimento de novos produtos é uma das principais etapas do Projeto Metering e é fundamental para garantir o sucesso da implantação junto aos fabricantes dos equipamentos e também ao corpo técnico da Ahlstrom-Munksjö, em nossos centros de pesquisa e desenvolvimento.
Selected team has theoretical and practical training in France to prepare for the Metering Project
In February 2019, R&D and Production employees from the Jacareí Unit went through a week of training at our Research and Development Center located in Pont-Evêque, France. The objective was to teach them to the implementation of the Metering Project.
Pont-Evêque has a state-of-the-art technology for material analysis and support in the development of new solutions, as well as a pilot coater, where it is possible to carry out tests exploring various coating application technologies.
During the training week, the Brazilian team was led by Eric Rousset, Pilot Coater’s manager. He addressed the fundamentals of the metering size press process, which differs from the current process practiced by Ahlstrom-Munksjö Jacareí, as well as the benefits and possibilities that can be explored from the installation of Metering in the Brazilian unit.
From the development point of view, the focus was on coatings, exploring the ideal characteristics of the formulations to seek excellence in the application performance and specific quality parameters for each product. The team also participated in visits to the laboratories and performed tests in the pilot coater.

After returning to Brazil, the team was responsible for passing on the knowledge received to all employees in the Jacareí production area. There were five classes and five days of training, each lasting six hours, to bring together all the operators of the paper machine and the coater to the classroom.
The training of people involved in the operational process and in the development of new products is one of the main stages of the Metering Project and is fundamental to ensure the success of the project implantation, alongside the equipment manufacturers and also the technical staff of Ahlstrom-Munksjö in our research and development centers.
