Dried Blood Spot (DBS) technology is well recognized as a cost-effective, simple and reliable alternative to conventional liquid sampling methods for a wide range of applications. In this study, both DBS and liquid serum samples were tested using one serological assay to evaluate the usability of DBS with Ahlstrom BioSample collection cards for the detection of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies.

Ahlstrom-Munksjö has established an effective partnership with Italian filter producer Virgis S.p.A for the distribution of an innovative HEPA filtration solution produced by Webasto. This innovative HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air filter) solution makes indoor environments safer against COVID-19 and other viral and bacterial organisms.

The new TenderGuard™ product portfolio offers a full suite of fabrics for medical and civil use face masks. The civil use face mask materials, TenderGuard™ BioBased and BioFilter, are biodegradable and compostable under controlled conditions according to European Norm EN13432.
