Ahlstrom Oyj and its group companies are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of individuals. This Privacy Policy describes the information Ahlstrom collects about you when you register to and participate in the dediCOATED virtual convention (the “Convention”), how it is used or processed as well as the measures Ahlstrom takes to ensure the security of information collected. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before registering to the convention.

What information is collected?
All activity on the Convention website as well as well as webinar tools such as Livestorm or GotoWebinar is logged and your IP address is stored to the log. The purpose of the log is to collect information on service usage volumes and patterns, number of visitors, the parts of the website that have/have not been accessed or used, and system errors. The collected non-personal information is used to further develop and enhance the Convention website. The log does not collect personal information such as name, address, date of birth, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, job titles, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information”).
Ahlstrom collects the Personal Information that you submit when registering to the Convention. This includes information such as your name, first name, job, company, city, country, phone and professional e-mail address. In addition, Ahlstrom collects information on in which webinars you take part and what material you download from the Convention website and related tools and services.
Purposes for collecting Personal Information
Unless otherwise stated in separate privacy statements on the Convention website or unless Ahlstrom specifically informs you otherwise before you submit Personal Information, Ahlstrom will collect and process Personal Information only
- to manage and organize the Convention,
- to respond to your inquiries or comments,
- for the marketing and selling products and services of Ahlstrom and co-organizers and exhibitors of the Convention,
- to better understand your viewing and download patterns and needs, and
- for the personalization of the website content and user experience.
Sharing Your Personal Information with Others
In order to carry out the above and subject to requirements of applicable laws, Personal Information may be transferred between Ahlstrom group companies, co-organizers and exhibitors of the Convention or third party service providers in countries where the level of protection does not necessarily meet the EU legal requirements. In such case the adequate protection of data outside the EU is ensured by execution of the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or equivalent. Further, due to the technical and practical requirements of the processing, some of the Personal Information may be stored on the servers of subcontractors or processed by subcontractors who have agreed to the data processing standards of Ahlstrom.
In any case the recipient of the information shall be required to protect the confidentiality and security of the Personal Information it receives and it may use it only for the agreed purpose.
Ahlstrom's strict policy is not to lease or sell Personal Information to third parties.

Ahlstrom uses “cookies” to obtain non-personal information in order to improve your visits to the Convention website. Cookies are text information files that your browser places on your computer when you visit a website. Ahlstrom may collect this data to analyze the viewing patterns of our site visitors, but no Personal Information will be collected.

Access to Personal Information is restricted on a need-to-know basis to individuals (Ahlstrom’s and co-organizers and exhibitors’ employees and service providers) who need to access the data for the purposes it was collected for. Ahlstrom will store Personal Information only as long as is required for the purposes it was collected for or as required to meet legal and/or regulatory requirements.

You may at any time contact Ahlstrom at the address below to check that the Personal Information related to you is accurate or to request your Personal Information to be deleted or to receive a copy of the data.
Further, Ahlstrom will at your request rectify or erase your Personal Information or restrict the processing of Personal Information.
